Deputy Bezzina brings significant experience and expertise gained through senior leadership positions in both the Ontario Public Service and in the non-profit sector. Most recently, he was the Assistant Deputy Minister of Health System Accountability and Performance in the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.

For the previous five years, he was the Assistant Deputy Minister of Operations for the Ministry of Community and Social Services. During his first three years there, he was also responsible for service delivery on behalf of the Ministry of Children and Youth Services.

Before joining the public service in 1999, Deputy Bezzina also had extensive leadership experience in the non-profit sector in agencies that delivered services to persons with disabilities.
