Teresa Piruzza represents the riding of Windsor West. She was appointed Minister of Children and Youth Services in February 2013, and Minister Responsible for Women’s Issues in July 2013.
Piruzza has dedicated her life to helping Windsor families thrive and succeed. Before being elected MPP in 2011, she was Executive Director of Employment and Social Services for the City of Windsor, helping local residents find work. She was a municipal representative with the Windsor-Essex Local Immigration Partnership Council and a member of Pathway to Potential - an organization dedicated to raising awareness about poverty and how it can be reduced. She is also a founding member of Workforce WindsorEssex, an organization dedicated to supporting a strong, sustainable economy for the Windsor region.
Piruzza has an MBA from the University of Windsor, a BA in International Relations and a Masters Certificate in Municipal Management. She lives in Windsor with her husband, John, and their two young boys.
