Our commitment to service excellence
The Ministry of Children and Youth Services (MCYS) is committed to delivering quality services in order to:

- Prepare youth to become productive adults

As part of our efforts to improve how we deliver our services, and effect real, positive change in the way we support our children, youth and families, the Ministry of Children and Youth Services has developed a set of service principles and standards.
The child and youth services for which MCYS is accountable include:
- Aboriginal children and youth
- child welfare
- early childhood development
- Ontario Child Benefit
- respite services
- special needs, including autism spectrum disorders and mental health
- youth and the law.

You can help us improve our service standards. We welcome and appreciate your thoughts and suggestions. We track all the feedback we receive and we use this information to help us improve our programs and services.

We will:
- share your feedback only with the appropriate government staff members, and
- respond to your questions or concerns in a timely manner.
How we protect your personal information and privacy
When you send us an e-mail through our website, we take steps to protect your privacy.
If our reply to your e-mail contains personal information, we have to respond to you by regular mail. This is a requirement of the Ontario Government’s privacy laws.
Here are some examples of personal information:
- any identifying information such as a social insurance number (SIN) or a health card number (OHIP)
- your financial history
- your medical history
If you contact us, we will not put your name on any mailing lists unless it is your request.
