Attention parents of students with special needs, who are impacted by the current secondary school labour disruptions:

Families of children, youth and young adults with intensive special needs who are already receiving supports from a local community service provider or CCAC, can contact their service agency or case coordinator directly.

Occasionally, families of children, youth and young adults with intensive special needs may not be connected with a community service provider. In these cases, families should reach out to the following agencies that service their local school board:

  • Durham District School Board families can contact Resources for Exceptional Children and Youth - Durham at 905-427-8862 x 427.
  • Rainbow District School Board families of children and youth under 18 years of age with intensive special needs can contact Children’s Community Network Sudbury at 705-566-3416, or toll free at 1-877-272-4336.
  • Rainbow District School Board individuals and/or families of young adults (18 years of age or older) with intensive special needs can contact Andrée St. Onge, Information and Access Facilitator, Developmental Services Ontario at 1-855-376-6673, ext 230.
  • Peel District School Board families can contact Child Development Resource Connection Peel at 905 890 9432, toll free at 1-888-836-5550 or by email at support@cdrcp.com‎.
