Max - January 2012

Fourteen-year-old Max has big ambitions. One of his long-term goals is to play professional hockey when he gets older. To prepare himself, he participates in skating lessons and a pre-hockey program. These activities have been good for him – he has lost some weight, gained confidence and increased his balance.

Max is an articulate and engaging youth. He enjoys discussing things in detail with those around him, and will show his love and caring nature to those he has a bond with.

Max is in Grade 9 and while he has some learning challenges, he participates in the classroom and takes responsibility. Outside of school, Max helps to raise chickens, enjoys horseback riding and is active in army cadets.

Max is very motivated to be adopted and is prepared to do his part for a successful adoption. He would do best with an involved dad or male siblings, who would serve as positive role models. Max really needs a family to help him enjoy the typical experiences of being a kid, so he can let go his tendency to be the “parent.”
