What is it?
The Ontario Child Benefit is financial support that low-income families – whether they are working or not – may receive to help provide for their children.
The Ontario Child Benefit will reach more than one million children each month. In July 2009, maximum payments increased from $50 to almost $92 per month for each child. That’s an increase from a maximum of $600 per year to up to $1,100 per year for each child.
